Electric Lady Bird — the new streaming service of juried local music from Austin Public Library — is now open for submissions!

Electric Lady Bird is the latest site to launch on the MUSICat platform built by Rabble, and the team is thrilled about this new partner. “Austin is such an incredible music city - we can’t wait to listen to the collection that the library and community build together.,” says CEO Kelly Hiser.

“To celebrate the launch, the library is hosting a day of free live music at the Central Library on Nov. 4. The party will include performances from Dale Watson, Ms. Lavelle White, Money Chicha and more.”

A panel of jurors from the Austin music community will select the 50 best albums/EPs based on quality, diversity, regional promotional activity, and general connection to the Austin music scene. Selected musicians will be awarded $200.00 and the Library will receive the right to stream their album/EP for a 3-year term.
